Islam means "submission" and "peace" in Arabic, and those who submit to the will of Allah are Muslims. They believe that peace is the best thing, so the greeting "Assalamualaykum" (السلام عليكم), which every Muslim knows, means "peace be upon you". In addition to not eating pork and not drinking alcohol, Muslims are also required to observe the Five Deeds.

"The Five Pillars" are the five fundamental practices of Islam: Testimony(Shahada), Prayer(Salah), Fasting(Sawm), Alms(Zakat), and Pilgrimage(Hajj).
Muslims often recite "There is no God but Allah. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" in order to remind themselves of the importance of Islam.
"Prayers(Salah)" are the five times a day that Muslims are required to worship in the direction of the house of Mecca, and on Fridays (Jumuah) they go to the mosque to listen to the sermon of the Imam.
During the ninth month of the Islamic calendar (Ramadan), Muslims abstain from eating, drinking, smoking, and sexual intercourse from dawn to sunset, except in the case of pregnant women, travelers, and those who are ill, when their health permits.
Zakat is for those Muslims who can afford it to donate a percentage of their earnings to help the poor each year, in order to enhance the good relations between them.
Hajj- The "pilgrimage" is a visit to the holy city of Mecca to worship Allah at least once in a lifetime for Muslims who are healthy and have sufficient financial resources.
